Heather Wright Horsemanship was created out of Heather’s experience with horses that began when she enrolled in western riding lessons when she was nine years old. Although western riding is her specialty, she developed a liking to riding English as well and started to understand the value of learning various disciplines. She has used these techniques with the various different horse breeds that she has worked with.

In 2019, she encompassed these disciplines into her own training style and started Heather Wright Horsemanship. Heather exhibits all that she has learned through different competitions like Gymkhana that she competes in and helps mentor her students in as well. Heather is certified by SafeSport to ensure the safety of her students in these sports.

Given the significant influence horses have had on her life, Heather is extremely passionate about working with horses and wants to spread her passion to others. She has worked with students of all ages, from little toddlers learning to ride at the age of three to seniors in their 60s and older. 

Every new rider has a particular objective in mind. While some riders are simply hoping to boost their confidence, others are considering how to enter competitions, or simply advance their own technique. Heather customizes each training regimen to fit the needs of every rider. As Heather states “every horse and every rider are all so different. Something that works for one horse or one rider might not work for the next. I love customizing my training to fit these needs to make it both successful for horse and rider”.
